DEVOTION OF THE WEEK HE CAME TO HIS SENSES - Luke15:11-32
“I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.”
There are pastors who often talk with parents who are disappointed that their son or daughter no longer thinks Christ is important. In response, these pastors or ministry counselors may try to assure them that it is never too late for someone to return to God and his people.
Jesus tells a story about a son who ran away from home. Rather than work with his father on the family estate, the son demanded his inheritance and then wasted it on wild living. It probably seemed like an attractive idea at the time, but like many of our sinful decisions, it led to personal disaster.
